Lesedi is CEO of Kela Securities following a diversified career that started at Bank of America Merryll Lynch where he had extensive exposure to local and offshore institutional asset managers and their inherent need to use derivatives to enhance portfolio performance. Lesedi moved on to head Delta 1 and Program Trading at Credit Suisse Securities (Johannesburg), a subsidiary of the Global Credit Suisse (AG) Group; under his leadership the entity went on to dominate market share within the South African listed futures market.

The experience gained from these large multinational investment banks helped Lesedi identify glaring structural inefficiencies that hinder product creation of alpha enhancing financial instruments. Kela Securities was founded to fill the void and is pioneering unique solutions to assist institutional asset managers better achieve their performance targets on a risk-adjusted basis. Lesedi completed his BSc in Actuarial and Financial Mathematics and BSc (Hons) in Financial Engineering at the University of Pretoria.

He is currently studying towards his MSc in Financial Engineering which will benefit from his practical experience in managing complex financial instruments as he takes on the field of Advanced Financial Mathematics.
